Abstract: PH13-8Mo stainless steel was solution treated at 925 ℃ for 70 min, cold treated at -70 ℃ for 2 h, and then aged at 535 ℃ for 3, 4, 5 and 6 h, respectively. The effect of aging time on microstructure and mechanical properties of the tested steel were studied by means of optical microscope and mechanical property tester. The results show that intermetallic compounds precipitate after aging at 535 ℃, and gradually grow with the extension of aging time. The tested steel has the highest hardness and strength after aging for 4 h, and maintains sufficient impact absorbed energy and has good comprehensive mechanical properties. With the extension of aging time, the hardness and strength of the tested steel decrease and the impact absorbed energy increases.
