Research progress in preparation and heat treatment of high entropy alloy

Abstract: Compared with traditional alloys, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) have outstanding characteristics such as high strength and toughness, good soft magnetic properties, high temperature stability, and corrosion resistance. The application potential is huge in many fields. The research progress, advantages and disadvantages of preparing HEAs by means of vacuum melting, powder metallurgy, laser cladding and magnetron sputtering were mainly introduced. The influence of different heat treatment processes on the microstructure and properties was analyzed. And the prospects of high-entropy alloy preparation and simulation calculation were put forward.
