Vacuum heat treatment of 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb stainless steel base

Abstract: In order to meet the requirements of mechanical properties and control distortion during quenching, a vacuum solid solution and aging process of 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb stainless steel base was determined via a series of experiments. The results show that after solution treatment at 1060 ℃ for 1.5 h, oil cooling and aging at 460 ℃ for 4 h, and then air cooling, the tensile strength of the workpiece is ≥1420 MPa, hardness is ≥42.5 HRC, and flatness of mounting surface is ≤0.5 mm. In addition, the dimension control can be realized by adjusting the quenching oil temperature and prolonging the charging precooling time in the vacuum quenching furnace.
